My little niece, Harper, is almost 9 months old now and I can't believe how much she has already learned.  It's really amazing to me the amount of information and skills a baby learns in the first year or so. Anyway since the last time I posted about Harper was the day she was born, I thought I would post a few updated pics of her and her growing self. WARNING: She is extremely cute!!!

Holy Long Time!

It's been a million years since I posted last so I figured it may be time. My friends and family have been talking about this website Pinterest for a while now and I always thought it sounded like it might be interesting but never got around to checking it out. Until last night! I am now addicted to Pinterest!!! I don't know why it took me so long to get on there. I mean it has everything you could imagine! From places I may like to visit someday right down to yummy recipes! So if you haven't checked it out...DO IT!!

The Love of My Life

My niece Harper was born yesterday and it was love at first sight. She is absolutely perfect! She is healthy, and both mom and baby are doing very well! She was born 8 lbs. 10 oz. and was 21 in. long, which is exactly, both weight and length, what her momma was when she was born. How crazy is that?! Anyway here is a picture of the most important girl in my life...Miss Harper Belle Lawson!!!

New Favorite Album

I just bought Adele's new album on iTunes and I cannot stop listening to it.  It is freakin awesome!!! She has such a unique, cool voice.  Set Fire To The Rain is one of my favorites off the album and I am going to make a prediction that it will be the next single :)

Creativity Block

I haven't posted in a really long time. Why? Because I am having a major creativity block!! Thinking of something to post that people may find interesting is much harder than expected.  And though I am posting now I still have no clue what to say :)  Oh I just thought of something!

TV SHOWS!! I am a bit of a TV junkie. I have about a million TV shows that I cannot miss each week. So I guess I should share what they are in case anyone wants to know.  At the top of my list is One Tree Hill, I have been watching it since the show started back in like 2002 or 2003. Now it is on it's last season and I am a little sad about that.  Another one of my shows is Parenthood.  If you haven't been watching, it is a great show that both men and women love.  It's well written and very relatable. LOVE IT!! And then there's Harry's Law, which is a new show this season but a very clever spin on the whole lawyer courtroom show thing.  I also like The Vampire Diaries.  Gotta have a good vampire show in there :)! Of course American Idol is another I can't miss.  That show is soooo addicting to me! Glee!!! Yes I am a Gleek and I'm not afraid to admit it. I absolutely love that show!! Ok there are too many to keep going like this...I'm just going to list them:  NCIS, CSI:NY, Dexter, Grey's Anatomy, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, America's Got Talent, The Office, Law and Order: SVU, Better With You, Dancing with the Stars, Modern Family, No Ordinary Family, American Pickers, Teen Mom 2, Who Do You Think You Are....I think that is it, haha!! Because I have so many though, I don't get to watch them all.  No time!

After watching the Grammy's the other day I have fallen in love with two more bands that I hadn't heard of before.  They are Mumford and Sons and The Avett Brothers.  These two bands are kind of similar. Mumford and Sons is kind of a mixture of alternative rock and bluegrass.  They are really good! The Avett Brothers are rock with a bit of a bluegrass flair on some songs.  After seeing them perform on the Grammy's I immediately downloaded their latest albums on iTunes.

I Got The Fever!!

Bieber Fever that is!!!! I am not ashamed to admit the fact that I love Justin Bieber.  Not in the teenage girl "he's my idol" type of way.  I just really like the kid!! And I saw on the news today a clip of Justin Bieber during a radio interview...and in the middle of the interview his phone rang and his ringtone was none other than Mike Gundy doing his "I'm a man, I'm 40" speech.  How funny is that?!! Then the next segment showed a clip of Mike Gundy during his press conference today getting a phone call...his ringtone was Justin Bieber!! He proceeded to say he changed his ringtone last night after seeing the clip of Bieber. I wish I had a video to upload for it but the story is just too new...however, when one is available I will upload it! Also, he added that he would love for JB to come to a football game and maybe play a concert!!! :) This made me very excited!! I would love to see Justin Bieber, and I don't care who knows it! :)

Ok I really wanted todays post to be a video of a song I really like.  But....because I live out in the boonies my internet is painstakingly slow and videos will not upload!! So my idea for a post is kaput.  However, I always have a plan B! :)

I am NOT the Next American Idol : )

This past summer I graduated from college and was faced with the dilemma of what to do with my life. So naturally, I decided to try out for American Idol and see what would happen. Unfortunately, I did not make it past round one, however I did come away with some pretty cool memories. Plus, I now know how the whole show works behind the scenes.  And my mom and I got to spend some time touring around Austin, which, I might add, is AWESOME!!! Except for maybe that huge University in the middle of it, but we can overlook that ;)  Here are some pics of my American Idol experience….

Day 2 No auditions so we went to the Capitol. I couldn’t pass the saddle up!

Very First Blog Post EVER!!

Ok so I have no idea how to do this sort of thing, but I have a brother and sister-in-law that both have blogs so I thought I would give it a try.  I’m not at all an interesting person but the things I encounter on a daily basis, be it something on the internet or a story from my job, just might be of interest to someone out there.
