I am NOT the Next American Idol : )

This past summer I graduated from college and was faced with the dilemma of what to do with my life. So naturally, I decided to try out for American Idol and see what would happen. Unfortunately, I did not make it past round one, however I did come away with some pretty cool memories. Plus, I now know how the whole show works behind the scenes.  And my mom and I got to spend some time touring around Austin, which, I might add, is AWESOME!!! Except for maybe that huge University in the middle of it, but we can overlook that ;)  Here are some pics of my American Idol experience….

Day 1 Outside the Arena at 5am

Day 1 The line is finally moving

Day 1 Finally inside at 9:00am, about to get my wristband

There it is. Contestants got orange, guests got yellow.

Day 2 No auditions so we went to the Capitol. I couldn’t pass the saddle up!

Day 3 Audition day line at 5am

Day 3 People starting to come in. We all had assigned seats.

Day 3 If you don’t know who that is you need to come out from under your rock.

Day 3 The crowd on audition day

They set up 10 tables. People lined up in 4 lines side by side.

It’s my turn to go down and audition.

There I am about to step forward and sing…NERVE-WRACKING!!
